Higashiya reinterprets the diverse culture of “wagashi” (traditional Japanese sweets) in a modern style. The shop was opened in Ginza in 2009 and sells a variety of sweets and other seasonal confectionery, as well as a selection of original containers and crockery. Also, in its relaxing 40-seat tea salon, over 30 types of Japanese tea are available, along with wagashi, alcoholic drinks and even meals, culminating in a unique experience for lovers of sweets and tea alike.
