Musashino-kuni Sake Festival

Food/DrinkEntertainment

The Musashino-kuni Sake Festival 2014 gathers sake brands from all around Japan; this year it will feature over 140 high-grade brands. The venue, Okunitama Shrine, has a rich history and houses many sub-shrines, including Matsuo Shrine, erected in honor of the god of brewing. From such a venerable location, the festival aims to further the development of sake culture and send it off into the world. Stalls will serve food such as “yakitori” (grilled chicken skewers) and “motsuni” (stewed giblets), and the festival will be a meeting place for not only fans of sake, but also a wide variety of people with an interest in Japanese culture.
