At the Park Hotel Tokyo, the ongoing Hotel Art project sees the hotel's bedrooms renovated by artists. The artists themselves stay overnight in an unadorned room, and then use the inspiration born during their stay to produce a wall or even a whole room as a new work.“Sumo” “Zen” “Washi” “Dragon” “Zodiac“, etc. - themes such as these produce an unmistakably Japanese aesthetic, and by staying in multiple rooms one after another, guests can enjoy experiencing this rare gallery hotel.
パークホテル東京では、「作家が作る部屋」というコンセプトで、従来の客室をアーティストルームに改装する「アーティスト・イン・ホテル」プロジェクトが進行中。実際にアーティストがホテルに滞在し、そこで生まれるインスピレーションをもとにして、壁や室内まるごとを「作品」として制作していきます。「相撲」「禅」「和紙の部屋」「龍」「十二支」……など、日本の美意識を取り入れた部屋は現在も続々と増設され、それぞれの部屋に宿泊することができる、日本でも珍しいアートギャラリーホテルです。
