SARAKICHI is a fashion brand that produces modern garments using Tokyo’s traditional dyeing techniques. The historic factory Tomita Somekougei, established in 1882, collects raw materials produced in Japan and processes everything by hand. They collaborate with designers to revive a traditional pattern called Edo Komon, which was valued by the samurai during the Edo period, and turned it into a popular handkerchief. You can purchase the collection here, and also learn and experience the traditional fabric dying technique at the museum.
