TSUBAMEYU is a traditional public bathhouse popular for its early morning opening of 6 am, attracting regular locals and tourists everyday. Pay the admission fee at the entrance, and then the spacious high-ceiling bathing area opens up to you as you walk in from the changing area. Soak yourself in the hot tub with a view of a large and beautiful painting of Mount Fuji. There is even a rock garden next to the bath. You can swing by empty-handed, as there are free soaps and towels for you to rent. The historic building has been registered by in Japan as an Important Cultural Property.
朝6時から営業する朝湯が有名な銭湯『燕湯』は、いつも常連客や観光客で賑わっています。昔ながらの番台で料金を払い、脱衣所から浴場へ入ると、中は天井高の開放的な空間。建物は登録有形文化財に指定されており、美しい日本の情景が描かれた壁画と富士山の溶岩の岩山を眺めながら、ゆったりとお湯を楽しめます。石鹸などが無料で使え、手ぶらで行けるのも好評です。
